Adriaan van Dis (1946) is the author of an impressive literary oeuvre that has been translated into 18 languages and bestowed with numerous awards, including the Golden Owl, the Libris Literature Award, the NS Public Award, and the Constantijn Huygens Award. His most recent publications are the novel Tenderness and a Warm Embrace and the essay The Colony Strikes Back. Since 2023, he cohosts the popular podcast Van Dis Unfiltered.
